1. What We Collect
- Account information: Your email address, collected via Supabase Auth when you sign up. We use it to authenticate you and send service-related emails (billing, important updates).
- Content you submit: URLs, PDFs, images, or text you provide to generate a podcast. This content is passed to third-party AI providers (Google Gemini, OpenAI, ElevenLabs) for processing and is not stored beyond what is needed to produce your output.
- Generated output: Transcripts and audio files are stored in your account on Supabase so you can access them later. You can delete them at any time from your dashboard.
- Payment information: Handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
- Usage analytics: We use PostHog to understand how the product is used (page views, feature usage). This data is anonymised and used only to improve the service.
2. What We Don't Do
- We do not sell your data to any third party.
- We do not use your content to train AI models — ours or anyone else's.
- We do not share your personal information with advertisers.
- We do not track you across other websites.
3. Third-Party Services
Podcastify relies on the following third-party services to operate. By using Podcastify, your content may be processed by these providers under their own privacy policies:
- Google Gemini — transcript generation
- OpenAI / ElevenLabs / Microsoft Edge TTS — text-to-speech synthesis
- Supabase — authentication and file storage
- Stripe — payment processing
- PostHog — product analytics
4. Data Retention
Your account and generated files are kept as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your data. You can also delete individual podcasts from your dashboard at any time.
5. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. To exercise these rights or ask any privacy-related question, please contact us
6. Cookies
We use only strictly necessary cookies: session tokens for authentication and a cookie to remember your language preference. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
7. Governing Law
This policy is governed by the laws of France. If you are located in the EU, you have additional rights under the GDPR, including the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
8. Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and notify you by email when appropriate.
